Mr. Settepani’s passion for electromagnetics, coupled with his insatiable work ethic, is far from over. A new and improved High-Velocity Electromagnetic Press has been developed and a patent application has been filed. Mr. Settepani is grateful to the customers who have extended a warm welcome back. It's very uplifting.

EMF continues to provide valued customers and vendors, both past and present, with any necessary parts and services needed for Lourdes Systems and WinSet Technologies machines.

EMF owns 100% of the Intellectual Property and technology developed by Philip Settepani while at Lourdes Systems.

WinSet Technologies

Mr. Settepani started WinSet Technologies to manufacture his patented high-velocity press, US Patent #7,331,265, Settepani, 05'. This machine was frequently used in down-Setting lead frames for the semiconductor industry. Mr Settepani continued supporting Lourdes's customers using the prior machine he refined as Engineering Manager. Unfortunately, poor decisions were made and WinSet continuously struggled with sales. A trusted consultant was brought in to do an assessment. Mr. Settepani did not have the heart to make the recommended drastic changes to refocus sales. The lackluster sales associate remained while Mr. Settepani continued maintaining WinSet in hopes of getting his business back on track. Consistently charitable and altruistic, Mr. Settepani "unknowingly donated" WinSet Technologies while trying to help the former associate who was unable to work and needed assistance. This rogue associate then sold WinSet to a customer's former employee... This sale was exclusively for WinSet and did not include any assets of Lourdes Systems. EMF retains ownership of its IP and the high-velocity press IP developed at Lourdes Systems. This property and decades of experience enable EMF to manufacture and sell parts and services for Lourdes, WinSet, and EMF High-Velocity Electromagnetic Presses. Custom machines, systems & parts designed by Mr. Settepani (including but not limited to Lourdes) are copyright-protected. Utilizing any protected content is only authorized through an express license from ElectroMagnetic Facilities.

Lourdes Systems

Mr. Settepani, Engineering Manager of Lourdes Systems contributed to the early development and refinement of the production model Electromagnetic Press, US Patent #5113736, Meyerle 92'. Mr. Settepani and George Meyerle (inventor of the “Lourdes Press”) engineered many systems currently producing products worldwide. George was the driving force behind Mr. Settepani's founding of WinSet, to continue working together while Mr. Settepani finalized the patent for his new machine. Lourdes Systems was shut down and Mr. Settepani was asked to support Lourdes Systems customers and vendors.

EMF has been involved in developing additive manufacturing machines that are coupled with electromagnetics. However, the abrupt departure from WinSet has led to many former customers seeking assistance. This welcomed contact has positioned EMF to return to the automation and press industry. A New High-Velocity Electromagnetic Press has been developed and a patent application has been filed.

NSLSII at Brookhaven National Laboratory Long Island NY

Brookhaven National Laboratory, Research Engineer, NSLSII 2008-2010

Developed vacuum chambers for the National Synchrotron Light Source II. Supervised the accurate forming of dipole vacuum chambers using a 150-ton mechanical press. Utilized explosive welding (EXW) for chamber components.

In need of a change and some activity, Mr.Settepani joined the NSLSII project at BNL. He worked with a talented group some of which spent time at WinSet. A position at BNL involving electromagnetics, a 150-ton press, vacuum, and explosive welding kept Mr. Settepani busy while maintaining the struggling WinSet.

WinSet Technologies, Owner, Engineering Manager, 2001-2022

Lourdes Systems was at a crossroads... George Meyerle and Phil Settepani agreed to continue manufacturing George's patented machine while Phil obtained US Patent #7,331,265. Phil started his company with a request from Lourdes to continue supporting past customers and vendors.

Mr. Settepani fulfilled his obligations to Brookhaven National Laboratory and relocated WinSet to South Florida. A fresh start, new vendors were established and employees were hired...

Lourdes Systems, Engineering Manager, 1991-2001

Mr. Settepani led an in-house engineering team providing unique solutions to customer-specific challenges.

Contributed to the early development and refinement of the George Meyerle production model Electromagnetic Press, US Patent #5113736. George played a key role in the most successful years of Lourdes. Along with George's Press, it was the engineering of the many diverse systems we manufactured that contributed to our success. George generously shared his wealth of knowledge, making his contributions invaluable to Mr. Settepani. George was the driving force behind Mr. Settepani's founding of WinSet, targeting the lead frame semiconductor industry.

Original team member of "Sick Room Innovations" responsible for "The Wonder Wheel" and many other note-worthy solutions.
